Exchange System Manager will need to be installed separately to view Exchange properties. I followed instructions to install ESM for Exchange 2003 for 32 Vista on a 32bit Win7 system. This enabled my Win7 system to VIEW exchange properties on a Exchange 2010 environment. I had no need to make CHANGES so take that knowledge and do what you will with it.

doesn't work on x64 Win7. to get it to work, I did the following.
win 7 64 or win2008r2 64 :-
run ESMVISTA.MSI /qb
then run mmc /32 add the activeusers snapin and you can see all the tabs.
or just modify the ADUC shortcut to launch in 32 bit mode.
